I once had to leap off a bicycle as it went under some dude's passenger wheel, and he didn't even stop. In LA, it's about the same as NYC. In the areas you find yourself biking most often, the cops are bored enough to nail you for running a red. You gotta be extra careful about that. You’re so right about rural drivers! I got it at NYC Velo on 2nd avenue, but there's no label on it so I'm not sure who makes it or what it might be called.
